Elizabeth Arden Red Door Eau De Toilette is a classic, rich floral fragrance with a glamorous, old-school feel. It blends lily of the valley, freesia, wild violet, red rose, jasmine, and ylang-ylang, then dries down with honey, oakmoss, and sandalwood for a warm, elegant finish.

 

It smells opulent, feminine, and noticeably floral rather than fresh or fruity. The opening is bright and bouquet-like, while the honeyed, woody base gives it a sensual, slightly powdery depth.

 

 

Top notes: Rose, Ylang ylang, Fruity accord 

Heart notes: Carnation, Freesia, Jasmine, Lily, Lily of the Valley, Orange blossom, Oriental Orchid, Violet

Loved from the first time I used this in the 1980's

I don't wear it every day but I love it every time I use it. It smelled like a rare orchid on my late younger sister but it just smells like Red Door on me. It is one of my favourites that I have on my shelf at all times.
