There isn’t an individual on this planet that wouldn’t recognize the brand and associated fame behind the marriage of the two letters D and G. Dolce & Gabbana is a fashion house founded in Italy by designers Domenico Dolce and Stefano Gabbana.
After a workplace romance in Milan in 1980, the two have gone on to build an international fashion hot house worth hundreds of millions of dollars.
In 1982 Dolce & Gabbana created their first fashion-consulting studio. The couple in life and business fashioned homemade garments in their shared apartment and a few years later won national acclaim following their launch of a women’s collection.
Ten years later Dolce & Gabbana released a men’s collection. In 1992 they also launched their first perfume called ‘Dolce & Gabbana Pour Homme’ which won the best masculine fragrance from the Perfume Academy, as well as ‘Dolce & Gabbana Pour Femme’ which one the female category.
Their perfume success continues today with the launch of Intenso in early 2015. The brand new scent is an extreme, rugged scent for an assured man.
