Lanvin Arpège Eau de Parfum is a legendary floral aldehyde fragrance originally created in 1927 by André Fraysse and reformulated in 1993, known as the "fragrance of 1,000 flowers" with over 60 floral essences blended together. This rich, soft floral bouquet represents timeless French elegance and sophistication.
The composition opens with sparkling aldehydes paired with bergamot and neroli, creating a bright, effervescent introduction. The heart reveals an opulent floral symphony featuring jasmine, rose, ylang-ylang, lily of the valley, iris (orris), tuberose, and geranium, enhanced with spicy accents of clove and coriander. The base settles into a warm, sensual foundation of sandalwood, vetiver, patchouli, vanilla, and styrax.
Arpège showcases a cascading arpeggio of floral notes—true to its musical name—where individual notes can be distinguished yet blend harmoniously. The fragrance features an effulgent, coriander-laced jasmine with gleaming white heat, complemented by antique rose and subtle peachy, lactonic undertones. The multi-layered composition balances its rich florals with dry woods and amber-like warmth, creating an elegant, sophisticated scent that radiates confidence without being overpowering.
